X-WR-CALDESC:LIFT & RISE events are for children ages 5-12 with intellectua
 l and developmental disabilities\; no prior group experience necessary. Re
 gistration for each event closes the Sunday before the event at 6:00 pm.\n
 \nWe are combining LIFT & RISE into one group in order to facilitate frien
 dships\, offer activities for children 5-12 more frequently\, and provide 
 more opportunities to practice social skills and learn through play. LIFT 
 & RISE are play- and experience-based\, structured programs where children
  explore confidence\, friendships\, and early independence in a safe and s
 upportive environment. Sessions run 90 minutes. Participation is encourage
 d\, not forced.\n\nThis week in Challenge & Confidence\, participants prac
 tice trying new and slightly harder activities in a safe\, supportive envi
 ronment. Children explore movement\, music\, problem-solving\, and coopera
 tive play while building confidence\, perseverance\, and self-regulation. 
 Through fun challenges and guided play\, kids learn to stay safe\, respect
  personal space\, and celebrate small victories along the way.
