Free Sensory-Friendly Live Theater Performance of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"
The directors would love to offer a very special showing on Wednesday, Nov. 20th for the children and families in the WWVDN - free of charge for up to 199 people. This will be a sensory sensitive event.
This full performance will only last about 1 hour 15 minutes.
If there are any special accommodations so far as lighting and sound needed to make this performance more comfortable for anyone with special needs, please let us know and we can make it happen.
There is absolutely no concern for the cast and crew in regard to movement, talking, sounds, etc. during this performance. We know that for some families, those things have been a barrier in their comfort level of attending performance events.
The play has 17 kids in the cast as well as adults and it is such a fun show we really wanted to share it with you!
It will be "festival seating", so everyone can come and just find a seat on that evening. The performance begins at 7:30pm and should be finished by 9pm.
We ask that this show be limited to special needs individuals and families. We will not be offering this performance to any other group, nor will we advertise the event.
About the show:
In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids--probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem - and the fun - when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on! This delightful comedy has become a holiday staple for groups across the United States! Features plenty of great roles for children and adults, a few favorite Christmas Carols, and a lot of laughs!
**Rated G - Approved for all audiences.
