Parasport Wheelchair Basketball
Parasport Spokane (https://www.parasportspokane.org/) has been gracious enough to bring their coaches, athletes, and equipment to Walla Walla to help get people with disabilities engaged in sport activities. Their mission is to provide training, recreational activities, and competitive opportunities for youth and adults with physical disabilities in order to promote success, self-worth, and independence.
With the help of Parasport Spokane, this event will have sport wheelchairs and other equipment available to trial so that people can participate in parasport activities. The event will focus largely on basketball and track & field but Parasport athletics can also include road racing, swimming, yoga, strength & conditioning, sled hockey, activities such as snow/water skiing, and much more.
This event is open to anyone who has a physical disability and is interested in adaptive or parasport activities. All ages and ability levels welcome. Even if full participation is not possible due to age or ability level, we can help problem-solve and hopefully build towards a solution where we can get people moving in a fun and empowering way in the future.
