Safety Reminder: LIFT & RISE events are designed to be fun, safe, and inclusive. Our volunteers will provide group support and supervision. While we do our best to minimize risks, participants who have a history of elopement (wandering or running) may require additional support from a family member or caregiver (a background check must be completed), especially at public events. Please let us know in advance if your participant may need extra attention so we can plan volunteer coverage accordingly.
LIFT & RISE events are for children ages 5-12 with intellectual and developmental disabilities; no prior group experience necessary. Registration for each event closes the Sunday before the event at 6:00 pm.
Participants will get to create their very own bracelets/necklaces alongside their peers. This activity will use a variety of objects ranging from beads, string, pipe cleaners, and more for each participant to create a custom design while strengthening their fine motor skills. We will work on sharing materials and taking turns as well.
