Our Parent to Parent picnic at Lyons Ferry was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, support, and fun by the water. The sun was shining, the water was calm, and the landscape was beautiful, a perfect day for fun in the water. Families came together to swim, float on rafts, kayak, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Some kids splashed and played near the shore while parents connected, shared stories, and relaxed in the shade. Others leisurely floated on rafts or paddled around on kayaks while others snacked and enjoyed the soothing sounds of nature. We enjoyed lunch together under the shady trees. There were moments of encouragement, lots of laughter, and a few quiet moments of relief. As the day wrapped up, sun kissed and tired, families said their goodbyes. We left Lyons Ferry not with just great memories, but with connections and full hearts.
