Elopement Risk Level 1 - With Volunteers

Safety Reminder: SOAR events are designed to be fun, safe, and inclusive. Our volunteers will provide group support and supervision. While we do our best to minimize risks, participants who have a history of elopement (wandering or running) may require additional support from a family member or caregiver (a background check must be completed), especially at public events. Please let us know in advance if your participant may need extra attention so we can plan volunteer coverage accordingly.

Connect & Play is for Parents/Caregivers (Connect) and children with disabilities & their siblings under 12 years old (Play).

Take a break and join us for an evening of connection, creativity, and community!

While parents relax, recharge, and learn about Assistive Technology, kids will be getting into the holiday spirit with cookie decorating and festive crafts. It’s the perfect midweek pick-me-up after a long day. Come and enjoy good company, sweet treats, and a fun way to connect with others who understand the journey.
