Elopement Risk Level 1 - With Volunteers

Safety Reminder: SOAR events are designed to be fun, safe, and inclusive. Our volunteers will provide group support and supervision. While we do our best to minimize risks, participants who have a history of elopement (wandering or running) may require additional support from a family member or caregiver (a background check must be completed), especially at public events. Please let us know in advance if your participant may need extra attention so we can plan volunteer coverage accordingly.

SOAR events are for individuals age 13 and older. Registration for each event closes the Sunday before the event at 6:00 pm.

Bring your sweet creativity and join us for The Great Gingerbread Showdown! Participants will decorate pre-built gingerbread houses, no assembly needed, just plenty of frosting, candy, and imagination.

Finished early? Enjoy a few extra holiday crafts while the judges admire your handiwork! All completed houses will stay on display at the Walla Walla Center for Children & Families, where students and staff will vote for their favorite design.

The winning gingerbread masterpiece will be revealed at Breakfast with Santa! Remember, you must pick up your house at the Breakfast with Santa event; any left behind will be discarded.

It’s going to be a deliciously fun night filled with creativity, laughter, and holiday cheer!
