Safety Reminder: SOAR events are designed to be fun, safe, and inclusive. Our volunteers will provide group support and supervision. While we do our best to minimize risks, participants who have a history of elopement (wandering or running) may require additional support from a family member or caregiver (a background check must be completed), especially at public events. Please let us know in advance if your participant may need extra attention so we can plan volunteer coverage accordingly.
SOAR events are for individuals age 13 and older. Registration for each event closes the Sunday before the event at 6:00 pm.
Explore the beauty of Kinusaiga, a Japanese art form that transforms fabric into vibrant, textured artwork, all without using a needle or thread. Participants will gently tuck colorful fabric pieces into pre-cut grooves to create quilt-style designs that are soft, bold, and uniquely theirs. This calming, hands-on experience supports focus, fine motor coordination, creativity, and patience while offering a fun cultural art exploration in a welcoming space. Dinner will be included: Teriyaki Chicken & Rice
