LIFT & RISE: Friendship Carnival
LIFT & RISE events are for children ages 5-12 with intellectual and developmental disabilities; no prior group experience necessary. Registration for each event closes the Sunday before the event at 6:00 pm.
We are combining LIFT & RISE into one group in order to facilitate friendships, offer activities for children 5-12 more frequently, and provide more opportunities to practice social skills and learn through play. LIFT & RISE are play- and experience-based, structured programs where children explore confidence, friendships, and early independence in a safe and supportive environment. Sessions run 90 minutes. Participation is encouraged, not forced.
Celebrate friendships and fun with a carnival-style event featuring games, art stations, snack creation, and movement activities. Participants will rotate through engaging stations, play alongside peers, and enjoy a joyful, high-energy environment that highlights connection, participation, and shared experiences.
