Elopement Risk Level 1 - With Volunteers

Safety Reminder: SOAR events are designed to be fun, safe, and inclusive. Our volunteers will provide group support and supervision. While we do our best to minimize risks, participants who have a history of elopement (wandering or running) may require additional support from a family member or caregiver (a background check must be completed), especially at public events. Please let us know in advance if your participant may need extra attention so we can plan volunteer coverage accordingly.

SOAR events are for individuals age 13 and older. Registration for each event closes the Sunday before the event at 6:00 pm.

This session focuses on online safety, digital privacy, and thoughtful social media use in a hands-on, engaging way. Participants will explore what is safe to share versus keep private through interactive games like Would You Post This? and an Influencer for a Night experience, where they practice creating safe captions, evaluating posts, and reflecting on digital boundaries. Social interaction, peer discussion, and fun activities support turn-taking, decision-making, and confidence in managing their online presence.
